The Holy Journey

The Holy Journey

Father sun gives way to Mother moon more quickly now,

As each passing day signals a time closer to renewal.

Barren trees shiver in the night’s cold winds.

Candles warm lonely hearts as they dream of another time.

Pine scents bring back revised memories of family and friends.

Where did the Holy go in this season of giving?

Those that ring the bell have a sense of emptiness.

Man’s quest to find joy in opulence remains.

Delusions of the five senses infect most religious followers.

Faithful humans listen to messages from the Saintly,

Only to find their separation from the Divine greater than before.

The space between times grows vast.

True Grace becomes the Savior for the impatient in desperate times.

Winter brings the chance for rebirth.

God requires nothing of us despite our asking everything of Him.

We leave ourselves empty in the sunrise,

As we continuously depart from the dawn of responsibility.

Jesus' Birthday comes once a year to remind us of our Unity.

Look within to find piece and harmony.

Give the gift of Freedom to those who you have been imprisoned.

Give the gift of Knowledge to those who have ignorance.

Give the gift of Love to those who have been abandoned.

Give the gift of Truth to those who have lived the lie.

Where did the Holy go in this season of giving?

The Holy made journey to our hearts and souls.
