Destiny Begins Again

Trees are barren now.

Gray clouds bring scattered sheets of frigid rain.

Ice melts from gutters and branches.

Large limbs sway in the mighty gusts of cold northern winds.

Birds search for shelter and grain.

Our illusions of ultimate providence move swiftly through the seasons.

The sundial is silent now.

Months pass like minutes.

Minutes pass like months.

Look to the past, perhaps the future will return.

I knew her once, a long time ago.

She had a maiden's touch.

We danced between the stars.

She would laugh at the lover’s game.

It was not her beautiful flesh that invigorated my heart.

It was her spirit that made me undivided and vital.

Our lives journeyed through desperate separate places.

Each of them made frequent visits to gardens with infertile soil.

Cold hands tilled the black earth for past connections.

They often struggled, planting fruitless blossoms.

Those who prayed could not understand.

Those who understood could not pray.

There were constant reminders of the Angel with Golden Wings.

Lights signal another passing of winter’s consciousness.

Salvation came that day of Thunder.

Rain washed away the path of fate.

She arose to the sky with dynamic life.

She returned to her home far away.

She remembered a place beyond the Moon.

Two hearts beat within one Soul.

Essence returns with each pulse.

Take my hand and I will free you.

Climb with me above the misty valleys of misery where the unconscious live.

Trees are barren now.

Gray clouds bring scattered sheets of frigid rain.

Ice melts from gutters and branches.

Large limbs sway in the mighty gusts of cold northern winds.

Moonlight covers the fields of Red.

Destiny begins as she returns again.
