A Gamble Without Any Gain

A Gamble Without Any Gain

Verse 1 (A)

We declared War

On a Terrorist Nation

No One Considered the Cost.

Thousands of Men

Died for Our Country

It's been a Terrible Loss

Chorus (B)

Many Men cried as Their Brothers were Slaughtered.

They still Hear the Sound of Their Screams.

No One was There; No One Cared.

Nightmares just Poison their Dreams.

Verse 2 (A2)

Some returned in a Body Bag

To be Buried Six Feet Under.

Others came Back Crippled and Lost.

Those who could Walk

After they fought,

Are Trying to quiet their Dark Thoughts.

Chorus (B)

Many Men cried as Their Brothers were Slaughtered

They still hear the Sound of Their Screams.

No One was There; No One Cared.

Nightmares just Poisoned their Dreams.

Verse 3 (A3)

America endures the Scars of War.

People Live Under Stripes and Stars.

PTSD infected our Bravest Men

They've Lost all their Friends.

In Silence They hear Endless Thunder

No Peace For Those who went Insane.

Coda

They're Living on the Border

Between One World and Another.

They'll never be the Same.

They Answered Freedom's Call

And came back after going insane.

It's a Gamble without any Gain.

Insanity was the price of Freedom

A Gamble without any Gain.

There's no cure for being in Pain.

A Gamble.....A Gamble..... without any Gain....no Peace....for those Insane.
